Creative and engineering design work increasingly leans on generative algorithms rather than a single hand-drawn solution: a population of candidate designs is scored against an objective, then evolved generation by generation through selection, recombination and mutation until it converges on a strong result. This simulator makes that process visible. A rugged 3D landscape stands in for a design's objective surface — every point on it is one possible design and its height is that design's fitness — while a swarm of candidates evolves across it in real time using a genuine tournament-selection, blend-crossover, Gaussian-mutation genetic algorithm with elitism. Tune population size, mutation rate and selection pressure to see the classic exploration/exploitation trade-off of generative design play out: too little mutation and the population stalls on a mediocre local hill; too much and it can never settle on the best one.
