This simulation models the stages involved in a typical creative workflow as a literal closed loop in 3D space. Ideas — small glowing nodes — travel around a track shaped by its own divergence curve, passing through Preparation, Incubation, Illumination and Verification exactly as described in Graham Wallas's four-stage model of creativity. Each idea carries a numeric fitness score that random-walks during exploration, occasionally spikes during Illumination, and is tested against a selection threshold at the end of every lap: strong ideas are executed and can branch into mutated children, weak ones are discarded. Divergence rate and selection pressure sliders let you tune how exploratory or how ruthless the cycle is, and the live readouts track completed cycles, current population and the best fitness the population has reached — demonstrating the inherently cyclical, iterative nature of the creative process rather than a one-shot pipeline.
