Breakdance Power Move: Windmill Angular Momentum

The breakdance windmill is a full-body demonstration of rigid-body rotational dynamics: a dancer sweeps their legs and torso around a spin axis on the floor, and the same conservation law that lets a figure skater speed up by pulling in their arms governs how fast the windmill turns. This simulator models the dancer as a set of mass points at a controllable radius from the spin axis, launches a floor-push torque impulse to set the initial angular momentum L = Iω, and then lets you extend or tuck the limbs mid-spin to watch the moment of inertia I change and the angular velocity ω respond instantly to keep L conserved — with floor and air friction gradually bleeding off rotational kinetic energy until the spin dies out, exactly like a real power move.
