Ice above waterline
Ice submerged
This 2D side-view simulator draws a jagged iceberg cross-section floating in open water and settles it at its true Archimedes equilibrium: the submerged fraction always equals ice density divided by water density, computed live by clipping the actual polygon at a trial waterline rather than assuming a simple cube. Drag the size slider to scale the berg, the shape slider to go from a blocky tabular block to a jagged peaked one, tweak the ice density to model different glacial ice, and switch between fresh water and salt water to see the waterline shift — with live readouts for submerged percentage, exposed tip, mass and displaced water volume.
