This 2D side-view simulator drops a liquid sphere from an adjustable height onto a pool and reproduces the real physics that decides whether the impact splashes: the Weber number We = ΟvΒ²D/Ο, computed live from the actual fall speed, droplet diameter and the chosen liquid's density, surface tension and viscosity. Below the splash threshold the droplet spreads into a calm dome and retracts; above it a crown of secondary droplets tears off the rim exactly as high-speed photography shows, followed by a rebounding Rayleigh jet at the impact point. Switch between water, oil, glycerin and alcohol to see how surface tension and viscosity shift the splash threshold, and watch the live Weber, Reynolds and Ohnesorge readouts update with every drop.
