Flame
Embers / sparks
Smoke
This 2D simulator burns a pile of logs the same way the site's 3D campfire renders the flame visually, but adds a working combustion model underneath: a fuel-load slider sets how much wood is stacked in the ring, and a wind-speed slider both bends the flame and speeds up how fast that fuel burns, since more airflow means more oxygen reaching the fire. Live readouts track fuel remaining, flame height (following the same heat-release-rate scaling real flame-height correlations use), estimated burn time left, and radiant heat output, while embers spark upward and smoke drifts downwind in proportion to the wind. Add a log at any point to top up the fuel without resetting the clock, and watch the fire taper into embers as fuel runs out.
