Digital Photogate Free-Fall Lab

This simulator models a classroom "smart lab" technology: a digital photogate timer used to measure free fall precisely. Adjust the mass and the drag-coefficient-times-area of a dropped object — steel ball, foam ball, or a flat card disc — release it, and watch it fall past two light gates whose crossing times are logged automatically. The app numerically integrates gravity against quadratic air drag every frame, computes the object's instantaneous speed and an experimental value of g from the two gate timestamps, and estimates the terminal velocity implied by the current mass and drag settings — showing directly how weight and air resistance change what a falling-object experiment actually measures.
