    🍯 The UK Beekeeping Year

Scrub through the twelve months of the UK beekeeping calendar and watch a 3D National hive respond — colony population, honey supers, swarm risk, blossom and snow, and the beekeeper's task list all shift together.

    🔬 What It Demonstrates

Colony population, super count and swarm risk are modelled on typical UK seasonal patterns, so you can see how a near-dormant winter cluster grows into a 50,000-strong summer colony filling three supers, then contracts again before winter.

    🎮 How to Use

Drag the Month slider or press Autoplay to run the year automatically. Toggle Swarm cells to see queen-cell risk markers appear on the brood box during the high-risk May-June window.

    💡 Did You Know?

UK colonies can grow tenfold between January and July — which is why inspecting every 7-9 days during peak swarm season is considered the single most important habit in the beekeeping calendar.
