🌳 Pollinator Hedgerow Design

A living hedgerow grows around a 3D apiary — pick a climate zone's species mix, scrub through the season, age the hedge from bare-root whips to a mature barrier, and watch wind protection, bloom coverage and pollinator activity respond together.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Wind streaks slow, lift over the canopy and turn turbulent in the hedge's lee as it matures; bloom-driven flower cover on the shrubs controls how many pollinators are actively working the hedgerow at any given month.

🎮 How to Use

Choose a climate zone to swap species, drag the month slider through the year, grow the hedge with the age slider, and set wind speed. Toggle the wind-flow streaks on or off and watch the stats update live.

💡 Did You Know?

A hedge that lets some wind filter through shelters a wider area downwind than a solid wall — solid barriers force air up and over, creating turbulent, low-pressure eddies close behind them.
