🍯 Essential Beekeeping Vocabulary

An exploded-view 3D Langstroth hive alongside worker, queen and drone bee models — pick any glossary term to see it highlighted, glowing and defined in real time.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Every hive-component and bee-biology term used in the article maps directly to a 3D structure — the brood box, queen excluder, frame and foundation, pollen basket, proboscis and even a varroa mite — so the vocabulary is anchored to something visible.

🎮 How to Use

Choose a term from the dropdown to highlight and frame it. Drag the exploded-view slider to separate the hive's stacked boxes, adjust colony activity, and orbit the scene by dragging or enabling auto-rotate.

💡 Did You Know?

Lorenzo Langstroth's 1852 patent worked because he left exactly the right "bee space" — about 6-9mm — between every frame and wall; anything smaller gets sealed with propolis, anything larger gets filled with brace comb.
