Advancing a generation moves every colony's traits toward the breeders' average by a fixed heritability (h²=0.35, the breeder's equation ΔG = h²·S) plus small random mutation, then banks the top colony's genetics as a frozen vial in the cryotank — a simple model of long-term genetic conservation against loss of a valuable line.
