How it works

Each falling card is a candidate record. At every gate a fraction are removed for a documented reason (duplicate, off-topic, ineligible) while the rest continue narrowing toward the final included corpus that settles at the bottom.

Identification — records pulled from databases using a documented search string.
Deduplication — records appearing in more than one database collapse to one record.
Title/abstract screening — records judged off-topic from title and abstract alone are excluded.
Full-text eligibility — remaining full texts are read against explicit inclusion criteria.
Included — studies passing every gate settle into the final corpus used for synthesis.
