Two independent scores drive the scene, matching the 3D version's model:
- Roof corrosion = 0.55 × (years / 10) + 0.45 × (wind / 100) × shelter, where shelter is 0.45 with the windbreak up and 1 without it. The roof tint interpolates silver → rust as the score climbs.
- Mould risk = (humidity − 30) / 70, driving both the haze density and condensation droplets under the roof.
- Salt-spray particle count and speed scale with sea-breeze strength; the windbreak hedge intercepts particles that cross its line, cutting how many reach the hive.
- Bees shuttle between the hive entrance and the chosen forage patch (lavender, rosemary or mixed maquis), each on its own flight timer.
