A sealed research habitat dropped into the Arctic has to fight a two-front battle: keep its interior warm against extreme outside cold while keeping its sealed atmosphere breathable for the organisms inside. This simulator renders the incubator as a lumped thermal + gas-exchange model — a heater fights conductive loss through the insulated shell and the cost of reheating scrubbed air, while a steady biological CO₂ load is diluted by the same air exchange that costs heat. Push insulation, heater power and ventilation against a savage outside temperature, or hand control to the autopilot and watch a real feedback loop hold the setpoint the way the incubator's own controller would.
