Off-Road Mobility in Mud, Snow and Sand Blender 5.2

Spring and autumn mud season (rasputytsia): why a heavy wheeled truck digs in where a tracked carrier floats. Bekker-Wong terramechanics: pressure-sinkage, compaction resistance, Mohr-Coulomb thrust, drawbar pull, slip, tyre pressure, and winch recovery. Both generic civilian vehicles start together; press Go. Educational and inanimate; a teaching model, not a prediction for any real machine.

Recovery: winch, snatch block and kinetic strap

Park a stuck vehicle, then attach its winch to the nearest anchor tree ahead (tree-saver strap and shackle). The rope tension builds as the drum draws in line; the vehicle moves when pull plus its own thrust exceeds the resistance. Rated equipment only; follow local safety guidance.

Experiment: how much load can a tyre carry without sinking, versus its pressure?

Question: for which tyre pressure does a wheel with a given load float on the soil, and how does that compare with the analytic Bekker result? The sweep solves the sinkage by bisection and arc quadrature (numeric) for every pressure and checks it against the closed forms (analytic).
