This simulation focuses on mechanical engineering principles like statics and dynamics: it renders a real slider-crank mechanism — a rotating crank, an articulated connecting rod, and a piston sliding inside a cylinder guide — and drives it at an adjustable engine speed. Live readouts derive the piston's exact position, velocity and acceleration straight from the mechanism's closed-form kinematic equation, letting you see how rod ratio, crank radius, slide offset and RPM change the motion and the inertial loads a real connecting rod must survive.
