Industrial Wastewater Metal Precipitation Reactor

This simulation models the core unit process of industrial wastewater treatment for heavy-metal-bearing effluent: chemical (hydroxide) precipitation. Choose the influent metal (copper, zinc, nickel or chromium), dose lime to set the reactor pH, and adjust the influent concentration and mixer speed to see how solubility-product chemistry, not intuition, determines how much metal survives into the discharge. A live 3D reactor shows dissolved ions swept by the mixer and converting into settling floc at a rate driven by the true equilibrium chemistry, while readouts track residual concentration, removal efficiency, sludge production and pass/fail compliance against a regulatory discharge limit for the selected metal.
