Regenerative Braking Energy Recovery

Every time an electric vehicle brakes, its traction motor can run backwards as a generator, turning the car's kinetic energy back into electricity instead of wasting it all as brake-pad heat. This simulator models a real braking event from a chosen initial speed: a target deceleration is demanded, and the split between regenerative and friction braking is computed live from the motor/inverter's power rating, a torque-limited low-speed regime, a power-limited high-speed regime, a low-speed cutoff where regen hands off to friction brakes, and a battery charge-acceptance taper that throttles how much power the pack can actually absorb near full charge. Watch the 3D car decelerate along the track while the regen/friction power split, energy recovered, heat lost, and battery SOC update in real time.
