This simulator models the process of migrating applications and data to a cloud environment as a bandwidth-limited scheduling problem. A fleet of on-premises workloads queues up behind a shared network link; a configurable number of concurrent streams pulls data across it, splitting the available bandwidth between them exactly as a real migration link does. Two strategies are modeled end to end — lift-and-shift, which copies fastest but freezes the workload for a downtime window during cutover, and replatform, which transfers more slowly but swaps over with zero downtime — so you can watch the real trade-off between migration speed and production risk play out with live throughput, completion, and downtime readouts.
