This simulator models a real Archimedes screw pump — a rotating helical flight inside a tilted trough that lifts water from a low sump to a higher discharge point. Instead of a single fixed "efficiency" number, it computes volumetric efficiency (leakage through the casing gap), fill efficiency (splash and inertia losses at high speed) and mechanical efficiency separately, and multiplies them into an overall efficiency that peaks at a specific rotation speed — exactly the trade-off real screw-pump and hydropower-screw designers tune for. Adjust rotation speed, tilt angle, intake submergence and casing gap and watch the 3D screw, the water it carries, and the leak droplets falling back through the gap respond in real time.
