How it works

A tower crane raises one floor slab per build cycle. Wind is a slow oscillator, matching the 3D original's crane logic:

Each additional floor costs more than the last — pumping concrete and steel higher up the shaft adds a real logistics premium, modeled as a linearly rising per-floor cost. Crown sway follows the cantilever-beam tip-deflection law (deflection ∝ height⁴ / stiffness), the same scaling a structural engineer uses to size a core wall against wind load:

cost(n)  = 1.8M · (1 + 0.018·n)   // n = floor index
sway(h)  = k · wind(t)^1.5 · (h/100)⁴ / EI

Target floors — how tall the tower is being built (10–60 stories).
Core stiffness — a stand-in for the building's structural core (shear wall + steel core EI); raising it visibly damps sway for the same wind and height.
High wind — above 92% gust strength the crane throttles back, exactly like the 3D crane's own wind gate.
