Cantilever Beam Bending 2D — Deflection & Stress Side View

This 2D side-view companion to the 3D cantilever model draws the same fixed-free beam in profile, so the bending shape and the tension/compression split across the cross-section are easy to read at a glance. Drag the force, its position along the span, the beam length, the cross-section's width and height, or the material's stiffness, and the beam redraws using real Euler-Bernoulli beam theory: δ = FL³/3EI for tip deflection and σ = My/I for the bending stress at the wall. Switching between a point load and a distributed load of the same total force shows how spreading a load out lowers peak stress even though the total force is unchanged, and the live readouts track deflection, stress, wall moment and the section's moment of inertia as every slider moves.
