How this works

Each car keeps a hard floor at its reserve minimum — enough charge is always preserved for the owner's next trip.
During a demand peak, every car above its reserve discharges at its capped power rate until either the reserve is hit or the event ends.
Aggregate capacity scales with fleet size × (average SOC − reserve) × battery size — a small dip per car adds up across many parked vehicles.
After the event, the fleet recharges overnight back toward full, ready for the next peak.
