Energy Cascade: Why Transcendence Is Impossible

This simulation pushes a stream of energy packets through a chain of conversion stages — each one keeping only a fraction η of what enters it — and renders every packet's fate in real time: cyan packets survive a stage and move on, orange ones are converted to waste heat and radiated away. Because the overall efficiency of a chain is η raised to the number of stages, adding more stages or lowering per-stage efficiency shrinks the surviving output fast. A feedback loop lets you recycle the output back in as fresh input, which looks tempting, but the live readouts show it can never fully replace the need for external energy: without a positive external input rate, recycled output decays geometrically toward zero. It's a concrete, interactive demonstration of the second law of thermodynamics and of why no real system — however cleverly staged — can be a truly self-sustaining "energy transcendence" machine.
