Biomass Gasifier: Syngas Production

Generating usable fuel from organic matter isn't limited to burning it outright — a downdraft gasifier converts wood chips, rice husk or straw into a combustible synthesis gas (syngas) by controlling how much air reaches the fuel bed. This simulator models the four real reaction zones of a fixed-bed downdraft gasifier — drying, pyrolysis, oxidation and reduction — and drives syngas composition, heating value and cold-gas efficiency from the equivalence ratio and moisture content you set, exactly as they would respond in a physical unit. Watch biomass particles descend through the reactor, glow through the oxidation zone, and exit as ash while the resulting H₂/CO/CH₄ mixture rises to feed the outlet flare.
