A power grid has to match supply to demand every second, and renewables make that harder because their output is dictated by the sun and wind rather than by what people need. This simulator runs a simplified but real dispatch model: solar panels track a daylight curve, wind turbines follow the standard cubic power-curve against a drifting wind speed, demand follows a realistic two-peak daily shape, and a battery buffers the mismatch before a gas peaker plant covers whatever is left. Adjust installed solar, wind and battery capacity to see how the generation mix, storage cycling and blended cost of electricity respond over a simulated 24-hour cycle.
