Energy Burden & Fuel Poverty Simulator

A 3D neighborhood of 100 homes where real building-physics heat loss (the degree-day method: U-value x floor area x heating-degree-days) meets a randomized household income distribution to compute each home's energy burden — the share of income spent heating the house. Homes whose burden crosses the standard 10% fuel-poverty threshold turn red; sliders for outdoor temperature, fuel price, retrofit coverage and income inequality let you see which lever actually moves the fuel-poverty count, and which ones move the average without fixing anything.
