Travel Energy Intensity Comparator

Every trip has an energy bill, but that bill is almost never per-vehicle — it's per-seat-filled. This simulator lines up five common ways to cover the same distance — a short-haul flight, a solo car, a carpooled car, a coach bus and an electric train — as 3D bars whose height tracks real published energy intensity in megajoules per passenger-kilometre. Move the load-factor slider and watch the bars for shared vehicles (plane, bus, train, carpool) fall as more seats fill, while the solo car never budges. A separate grid renewable-share slider shows how the same electric train's CO2 footprint swings with what's actually powering the grid, independent of how much energy it used.
