Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) Cavern Simulator

Grid-scale Compressed Air Energy Storage banks surplus electricity by compressing air into a sealed underground cavern, then releases it through a turbine on demand. This simulator models a fixed-volume cavern with the ideal gas law, letting you switch between an adiabatic compressor (no cooling — temperature spikes and heat quietly leaks away while idle, exactly like a real "diabatic" CAES plant) and a near-isothermal compressor (intercooled, closer to the reversible minimum work). Charge and discharge the cavern, watch pressure, temperature and cavern fill evolve in real time, and compare the round-trip efficiency each strategy actually achieves.
