Zinc-Bromine Flow Battery: Electrolyte Loop & Bromine Complexation

This simulator renders a real zinc-bromine redox flow battery in 3D: two electrolyte tanks circulate through a central stack via pumped loops, zinc metal visibly plates onto the negative electrode as charge accumulates (governed by Faraday's law), and bromine generated at the positive side is trapped by a complexing agent into a dense oil phase that settles at the bottom of its tank. A Nernst-equation voltage curve, current-density and flow-rate controls, and a self-discharge mechanism driven by bromine crossover make the electrochemistry — not just the plumbing — the point of the model.
