This simulation investigates the principles of wireless power transfer for electric-vehicle charging pads, exploring how a resonant magnetic field delivers electrical energy across an air gap without physical cables. Drag the receiver pad's lateral position and ride height above a ground-mounted transmitter coil and watch the coupling coefficient, figure of merit and real-time transfer efficiency respond exactly as the near-field dipole-coupling model predicts, with a live 3D visualization of the energy flux streaming between the two coils.
