A grid of hundreds of houses, each running its own dead-band thermostat model, lets you watch a real demand-response event unfold from the inside. Enroll a share of the fleet in a direct-load-control program, set how hard the aggregator curtails their air conditioners, and watch the aggregate grid load fall away from its uncontrolled baseline in real time.
