Energy Conservation Ledger 2D: Bouncing Ball & Heat

A ball is dropped from a chosen height and bounces across a floor with an adjustable restitution coefficient and friction, rendered here as a pannable, zoomable 2D side view. This simulator keeps a live, gapless ledger of gravitational potential energy, kinetic energy and the heat generated on every bounce, and renders it as a single stacked bar that always sums to the ball's true starting energy budget — a direct, hands-on demonstration of the first law of thermodynamics, ΔE = Q + W, and of gravitational potential energy Ep = mgh converting into motion and, ultimately, into waste heat.
