PCM Packed-Bed Thermal Storage: Thermocline Profile (2D)

This is the 2D-native counterpart to the 3D packed-bed PCM thermal storage simulator. Rather than orbiting instanced capsule spheres in a wireframe tank, it plots the quantities that actually generate the physics: a bed-depth heatmap strip standing in for the column of capsules, a live temperature-vs-depth profile line (the thermocline front itself, drawn as a curve rather than inferred from colour), and the selected PCM material's own effective-heat-capacity and enthalpy curves with the current bed-average state marked on them. The same Schumann two-phase packed-bed model with an NTU fluid-effectiveness relation and an effective-heat-capacity latent-heat law drives every panel, so charging melts the bed and the front sweeps down the profile exactly as it does in the 3D version — just visualised as the field and material-property data it is, instead of a rendered scene.
