Amine Scrubbing Cycle Diagram: Loading vs Temperature

This is a 2D loading-vs-temperature cycle diagram for the same post-combustion amine (MEA) carbon-capture process as the 3D column simulator: a temperature-swing absorption cycle where a Van't Hoff-based equilibrium isotherm sets how much CO₂ the solvent holds at a given temperature and partial pressure. Rather than showing droplets falling through physical absorber and stripper towers, this view plots the equilibrium isotherms directly and traces the working cycle as a closed loop in state space — lean solvent absorbing CO₂ at cold absorber conditions, rich solvent heating and desorbing it at hot stripper conditions, then cooling and returning. Live capture-efficiency and reboiler-duty readouts come from the identical formulas as the column model.
