Circuit Board Pulse

A stylized PCB with glowing data pulses traveling between components, mimicking how digital signals race across real circuit traces. In an actual copper trace, individual electrons drift astonishingly slowly — only millimeters per second — yet the electromagnetic signal itself propagates through the FR4 board substrate at roughly 0.5-0.7x the speed of light (about 150,000-210,000 km/s), which is why a signal can cross a 20cm board in under a nanosecond. Real CPU clocks pulse billions of times per second (a 3 GHz chip ticks 3 billion times every second), driving synchronized bursts of these pulses across millions of traces at once. Copper traces on a typical PCB are only about 35 micrometers thick — thinner than a human hair — yet can carry amps of current. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom — the camera also auto-orbits.
