Plasma Lightning Sphere: Dielectric Breakdown Model (2D)

This 2D companion trades the 3D version's orbiting glass sphere for the physics underneath it: a real coaxial 1/r electric field between the central electrode and the grounded shell, a breakdown-radius calculation from actual air/noble-gas ionization thresholds, and a Niemeyer–Pietronero–Wiesmann dielectric-breakdown-model discharge whose branches grow one probabilistic step at a time through a Laplace potential field relaxed on a grid every tick. Press and hold on the glass to ground a point the way a finger does on a real plasma globe, and watch the growth-probability field bend the spark toward it instead of a scripted line.
