Move pointer over the globe to attract filaments
This 2D simulator draws a plasma globe from the front: a high-voltage AC transformer drives a central electrode inside a sealed sphere of low-pressure gas, ionizing it into a web of glowing filaments that continuously hunt for the lowest-resistance path to the glass. Raise the voltage to ionize more of the gas and spawn more filaments, switch the gas fill to change the discharge color, and move your pointer (or tap "Simulate finger touch") near the glass to see nearby filaments bend toward the touch point through capacitive coupling, exactly as they do on a real desktop plasma globe.
