External field lines Conductive mesh cage Field-free interior

Faraday Cage Simulator (2D)

This 2D simulator draws a uniform external electric field flowing past a circular conductive mesh cage from above: the field lines bend and compress around the cage while the interior stays calm, exactly as an electrostatic shield behaves. Raise the field strength to push more flux at the cage, lower the mesh density to widen the gaps between wires and watch leakage climb, or open a single gap in the mesh to see the field punch straight through it — all while the live readout reports the outside field, the leaked field inside, and the resulting shielding effectiveness from a real electrostatic-shielding model.
