Drag the magnet left/right in Manual mode

Electromagnetic Induction Simulator (2D)

This 2D simulator shows the classic Faraday's-law demonstration from the side: a bar magnet slides back and forth on an axis through a coil of wire, and the coil's induced EMF, magnetic flux and current direction update live as the magnet moves. Switch to auto-oscillate to watch a smooth back-and-forth sweep, or take manual control and drag the magnet yourself to feel how speed changes the induced voltage. Raise the number of coil turns or the magnet's field strength and the EMF readout grows accordingly, directly illustrating ε = −N·dΦ/dt — the faster the flux changes, the bigger the kick, and Lenz's law flips the current's direction each time the magnet crosses through the coil.
