Teacher professional development is often treated as a checkbox — hours logged, not skill gained. This simulator models what actually happens: a teacher's competency across four dimensions (content knowledge, pedagogy, classroom management, technology integration) grows through a power-law deliberate-practice curve when PD hours are invested in the activities that build each skill, and decays through an Ebbinghaus-style forgetting curve when a skill goes unreinforced. Allocate hours across workshops, peer coaching, reflective practice and mentoring — each activity has a different effectiveness profile across the four skills — then run PD cycles (semesters) and watch the 3D competency bars grow, plateau near mastery, or erode if neglected.
