This simulation models the sensory-processing side of special education support: how ambient noise, lighting glare and an unpredictable routine combine into a sensory load, how that load is amplified by an individual's own sensitivity, and how the resulting arousal level drives task performance along a real inverted-U (Yerkes-Dodson) curve rather than a simple "more support is always better" line.
