This simulator models a 30-student classroom as each learner's knowledge retention rises and falls in real time. Retention decays continuously along an Ebbinghaus-style forgetting curve, and in Active Learning mode it is periodically restored by spaced retrieval-practice events — the testing effect — while Passive Lecture mode relies on weak continuous exposure alone. Tune the retrieval interval, retrieval gain, class engagement rate and the material's forgetting rate, and watch the classroom's average retention and mastery count diverge between the two teaching strategies.
