Blended learning mixes online self-paced study with in-person synchronous sessions, but the schedule of that mix — not just the total hours — determines how much students actually remember weeks later. This simulator models a course as a spaced-repetition memory system: a class-average "retention" value that decays exponentially between study events (the Ebbinghaus forgetting curve) and jumps back up at every online micro-session, in-person class and retrieval-practice quiz, each one also strengthening a memory-stability constant that slows future decay. Set weekly online hours, in-person hours, quiz frequency and course length, then watch the resulting sawtooth retention curve and a colour-coded 3D cohort play out across the term, with live readouts for current retention, memory stability, the predicted half-life if review stopped today, and the projected retention at course end.
