Dance Step Timing & Balance Simulator

Every dance step is a weight-transfer problem: the body's center of mass has to move from one base of support to the next and arrive exactly on the beat, staying balanced the whole way. This simulator renders a real 3D dance floor with a set of step tiles and drives a dancer's center of mass with a damped second-order model — leg stiffness (ω) controls how fast the legs can redirect the body, balance damping (ζ) controls whether the arrival is clean or wobbly. Choose a real step pattern (box step, merengue, or cha-cha's quick-quick-slow timing), set the tempo, and watch the timing-accuracy score grade how close the center of mass actually is to the target tile at the instant each beat lands.
