This simulation teaches the core mathematics behind wildlife and fisheries conservation: logistic population growth under constant-rate harvesting. Set the species' intrinsic growth rate, the habitat's carrying capacity, and how many individuals are removed each year, then watch a real 3D herd on its habitat grow, stabilize or collapse exactly as the differential equation dN/dt = rN(1 − N/K) − H predicts. Live readouts track population size, elapsed years, and the Maximum Sustainable Yield — the harvest ceiling above which no equilibrium exists and collapse becomes inevitable no matter the starting population. It's the same model conservation biologists and fisheries regulators use to set sustainable hunting and fishing quotas.
