How it works

Each month the studio's fortunes are driven by four levers acting through a demand curve, a reputation loop and a fixed editing-hours capacity:

avgPrice  = price × (0.6 + 1.2·mix)
editTime  = 1.5 + 6.5·mix           (hrs/shoot)
capacity  = (100·efficiency) / editTime

reputation(t) = reputation(t-1)
              + 0.15·marketing·(1-reputation(t-1))
demand(t) = 0.6 + 1.2·reputation(t)

leads(t)    = 45 · (250/avgPrice)^1.2 · demand(t)
bookings(t) = min(0.4·leads(t), capacity)

revenue(t) = bookings(t) · avgPrice
cost(t)    = 1200 + 1500·marketing + 35·bookings(t)
profit(t)  = revenue(t) − cost(t)

Price — higher prices raise revenue per shoot but shrink the lead pool (price elasticity 1.2).
Marketing budget — a direct monthly ad cost that also builds reputation — a saturating (0→1) word-of-mouth score that compounds demand month over month, so early spend pays off later.
Premium mix — shifts the average booking toward longer, pricier premium sessions, but each premium shoot eats far more editing time, so capacity tightens.
Editing capacity — better gear/software raises the editing-hours budget, letting you fulfil more of the leads the other two levers generate. When leads exceed capacity, bookings flatten — the studio is sold out, not out of demand.
