This is the 3D companion to the flat network view: the same real preferential-attachment rule from network science (Price's model, the precursor to the Barabási–Albert model) grows a patent citation network live, but now rendered as instanced spheres and edge lines in a rotatable 3D scene. Every new patent cites a handful of existing patents chosen with probability proportional to their current citation count, so a few landmark patent-spheres visibly swell as the structure expands outward — orbit the camera to explore it while the live log–log histogram in the side panel tracks the citation-count distribution converging toward a genuine power law.
