Two foundational rules of ecology, made interactive: Shelford's Law of Tolerance says every species has a bell-shaped performance curve for each environmental factor — too little or too much of anything hurts — and Liebig's Law of the Minimum says overall growth is capped by whichever single factor is scarcest, not by the average of all of them. This simulator renders a live 3D field of organisms whose population follows logistic growth toward a carrying capacity that shrinks the moment any one factor — temperature, water or soil nutrients — drifts from its optimum, with the currently limiting factor always called out explicitly.
