🌳 Carbon Sequestration Plantings Around an Apiary

Plant a ring of trees or shrubs around a 3D apiary and watch carbon capture, pollinator forage overlap and windbreak shelter respond as you change species, distance, density and years of growth.

🔬 What It Demonstrates

Pioneer, canopy and flowering-shrub species trade off growth speed, total carbon stored and forage value; planting distance decides how much of that forage actually falls inside a normal bee flight range.

🎮 How to Use

Set the ring's distance from the hives, its density, the species mix, and the stand's age. Toggle the windbreak planting on and off and watch the drifting wind particles slow and turbulate near the hives.

💡 Did You Know?

Because trees keep adding wood for years, a slow-growing oak or lime planted today can still be capturing more carbon per year decades from now, long after a fast pioneer species has plateaued.
